Scott McDonald, Owner

Scott began working at Carpet One in 1996 while in High School, under his father, Bob's ownership. Scott worked his way up and through many positions, including installer, warehouse, carpet cleaning, and eventually sales. After learning the business from the inside out, in 2019, Scott and his wife, Kelley took ownership of the company. As a proud business owner in his hometown, Scott values the Carpet One Cooperative's community involvement. When Scott is not working, you will find him traveling the world with Kelley.

Kelley McDonald, Owner

Kelley joined the company in 2002 as an office manager, dedicating years to understanding its daily operations. In July 2019, she and her husband Scott assumed ownership. Kelley is passionate about fostering a positive work environment for her employees and actively supports Carpet One's community investment initiatives that give back to local schools and organizations. With a hands-on approach, Kelley ensures the seamless operation of all aspects of Carpet One. Beyond her business role, Kelley, a vibrant mother and grandmother, finds joy in traveling the world and immersing herself in diverse cultures.

Caitlin DeMille, Office Manager

Cait, the latest addition to the McDonald Carpet One team, came on board in 2022 as the office manager, working closely with Kelley. Finding her role within the company and easing Kelley's workload brings her immense pride. As a mother of two, Cait embraces the Colorado lifestyle wholeheartedly.

April DeRosier, Design Professional

April started her flooring career in 2005, making her way to McDonald's Carpet One in 2007. If you've visited the Boulder showroom, chances are you've been greeted by the enthusiastic redhead, April. She thrives on connecting with customers, understanding their desires and design visions. April takes pride in offering expert advice and knowledge, guiding clients through all aspects of their projects. Her greatest satisfaction comes from witnessing the happiness of customers upon completion. April holds a 5 Diamond associate degree in Design Color Theory and a certificate in Spatial Design.

David Pilcher, Warehouse Manager

In 2019, David joined the team at Carpet One in Boulder, bringing with him experience in the flooring industry since 2017. His primary responsibilities include managing inventory, overseeing shipments, cutting carpets for projects, and ensuring all necessary materials are readily available. David takes pride in his work and is consistently ready to assist whenever needed. His job satisfaction is amplified by the camaraderie among his coworkers, contributing to a vibrant and enjoyable work atmosphere.

Holly Van Tassel, Design Consultant

Holly is a Design Consultant at McDonald Carpet One with a strong passion for customer service and a commitment to helping clients feel confident in their home design choices. While she is early in her flooring and interior design career, Holly brings a fresh perspective and a genuine enthusiasm for learning and growing in the field.

A long-time Boulder area resident, Holly has deep roots in the community and a strong understanding of the local lifestyle and aesthetic. Her approachable nature, attention to detail, and desire to make each customer feel heard and supported set her apart as a trusted guide in the design process.

Nala, Professional Shop Dog

Nala, a lively and compact wiggle dog, brings joy to the workplace by adding excitement to the showroom. Although most of her workdays are filled with lengthy naps in her office, she occasionally wakes up to request a treat and some affection. As the day comes to a close, Nala enjoys a quick run around the showroom to bid farewell to her friends. At Carpet One, Nala plays a crucial role in infusing the day with love and laughter.
